BRAIN BOX BERLIN – The new office campus in Adlershof is sold
The BRAIN BOX BERLIN office building in Adlershof, Germany’s largest science and technology park, is sold. At the construction site on Eisenhutweg, in the southeast of the capital, a modern office complex with 24,000 square meters of floor space, as well as around 240 parking spots, will be built by 2020. The eight-story tower is growing into an unmistakable landmark building, which at the same time will form a new entrance – coming from the new airport to Berlin.
The buyer of the extraordinary office complex is REInvest Asset Management S.A., acting for an individual fund managed by it. “With the purchase of this property, we built another milestone in the development of a high-yield real estate portfolio in the metropolitan region of Berlin,” says Hans Stuckart, Managing Director of REInvest Asset Management S.A. The purchase price is well over 100 million euros.
“In each of our projects, we have high standards for the location as well as the architectural and technical execution. With this new building project, we’re placing an emphasis in both areas,” says Dirk Germandi, Managing Director of the project company Gartenstadt Adlershof GmbH & Co. KG. “In particular, the complete wiring of the building with fiber optic cabling and the connection to a fiber optic network are decisive factors for the working worlds of the future. BRAIN BOX BERLIN is another push in the right direction for Adlershof.”
The general contractor for the construction of the building, due for completion in August 2020, is Ed. Züblin AG Direktion Nord, Berlin division. Construction will get under way as early as October 2018. “BRAIN BOX BERLIN is an extraordinary project that we will support with our many years of expertise,” says Jürgen Löffler, who is the commercial director of the ZÜBLIN Berlin division and thus responsible for BRAIN BOX BERLIN.
