Departure to a sustainable future – Innovation location planned in Ragow
In Ragow near Mittenwalde, Tassima AG, in cooperation with the engineering partner IAV GmbH and the supplier Ziehl-Abegg Automotive GmbH & Co. KG, intends to outfit several hundred double-decker buses with electric motors over the next few years in order to promote sustainable mobility in Germany’s major cities.
The 7,000 square meter modern production hall as well as the administration building of Tassima AG will be built in a commercial park planned by Soltkahn AG in Ragow, south of Schönefeld. In the coming years, the first emissions-free business park in Brandenburg will be built here, combining technological progress with energy and resource efficiency for sustainable economic growth. In addition to generating its own electricity via a photovoltaic system, companies located there are expected to only be able to obtain electricity from environmentally friendly, renewable energy sources.
“The combination of innovative companies and a future-oriented energy concept result in the creation of a completely new project at the Ragow location. We’ll not only create regional jobs, but also offer companies an attractive business location with excellent infrastructure,” explains Tassilo Soltkahn, architect and CEO of Soltkahn AG, which is acting as a project developer and is taking over planning activities in almost all areas.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the new company location is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019, and the first double-decker buses converted to electric drive will be ready by the second quarter.
