EUROPA-CENTER celebrates key milestone in construction at Berlin Adlershof
The EUROPA-CENTER board invited guests to celebrate the closing in of the buildings' shells on June 6, 2018. After a festive welcome from District Mayor Oliver Igel, WISTA Managing Director Roland Sillmann, and EUROPA-CENTER CEO Ralf-Jörg Kadenbach, a relaxed get-together followed at Speis, Trank.
District Mayor Oliver Igel was extremely positive about the two new showcase projects in Adlershof: "As a district, we consider ourselves lucky to be able to benefit from Adlershof's becoming synonymous with technology and innovation. The fusion of science, research, and teaching with industry and business and the good transport connections ensure that no end to this success story is in sight and that demand for commercial space remains high. EUROPA-CENTER AG has been an active investor here for many years and has helped to shape our image as a center for technology."
Roland Sillmann, Managing Director of WISTA-MANAGEMENT GmbH: "EUROPA-CENTER AG not only recognized the potential of Adlershof very early on, but also knew how to use it so that innovative companies could find room to continue growing here. With the new building and its sweeping facade, the company is adding a special accent to our central square."
Two attractive new buildings for the Adlershof site The EUROPA-CENTER am Forum is being built on the corner of Erich-Thilo-Straße and Rudower Chaussee, directly adjacent to Forum Adlershof. The design is characterized by an open, slightly curved facade in a bright gold. Because it is oriented towards the site of the lively Adlershof market, the ground floor spaces are ideal for restaurateurs, retailers, and service providers. The upper floors, on the other hand, offer maximum flexibility for offices and optimal space efficiency. Due to its sustainable construction, the property has already been awarded gold pre-certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The new EUROPA-CENTER Ecowiss building is located on Albert-Einstein-Straße and features clear lines that are self-confident and timeless. The white of the five-story office and administration building is paired with a hall in a grey-metallic. On the ground floor, there are spacious halls, research, and laboratory areas with their own delivery docks. On the floors above, the space can be flexibly converted into individual, combination, or open-plan offices.
Both new buildings will be ready for occupancy from the second quarter of 2019. EUROPA-CENTER's leasing team is already in preliminary talks with potential tenants.
EUROPA-CENTER Adlerduo fully leased CEO Ralf-Jörg Kadenbach looks back at the beginnings of EUROPA-CENTER in Adlershof: "EUROPA-CENTER has been at the site since 2006. The first construction phase of the EUROPA-CENTER Adlerduo was completed in 2008, followed by two further construction phases, and is now fully leased. In 2016, we opened the first nearby parking garage in Adlershof. In addition to reserved parking spaces, the garage also offers short-term parking for the public. Including the two new buildings, EUROPA-CENTER am Forum and EUROPA-CENTER Ecowiss, we will have invested some €100 million at the site."
