Eyemaxx begins new office project in Berlin
Together with a joint venture partner, Eyemaxx intends to create around 28,000 m² of office space in Schönefeld in a 24-month construction phase. Construction is expected to begin in Q2/2021.
Eyemaxx Real Estate AG is beginning a new real estate project in Schönefeld near Berlin with a total volume of EUR 135 million. The project is being developed as part of a joint venture in which Eyemaxx holds a 50 percent stake. Together with a joint venture partner, around 28,000 square meters of office space are expected to be created in a 24-month construction phase, which is set to start in the second quarter of 2021. This brings Eyemaxx’s project pipeline to over EUR 1 billion, with all projects expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
Eyemaxx is already active in Schönefeld with the “Sonnenhöfe” urban quarter development, which was sold completely in a forward sale, as well as with the “Alfred-Döblin-Allee” residential and office project. Over the next few years, Eyemaxx will be developing a total of 650 apartments with around 44,000 square meters of living space and, along with the new project, office space likewise totaling around 44,000 square meters.
The new office project is being built on an area of around 15,000 square meters not far from Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. The location features excellent connections to the A113 and A10 autobahns.
Dr. Michael Müller, CEO of Eyemaxx, comments: “With this new project we are taking advantage of the continuing high demand for modern office space in the immediate vicinity of Berlin and the new Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. It underpins our continued excellence in market access to this promising growth region. In addition to our portfolio management, project development remains a pillar of our balanced business model, allowing us to combine a steady cash flow from rental income with attractive developer returns.”
