The Funkerberg Technology Park in Königs Wusterhausen has a wide variety of location advantages. In the first half of 2018, companies will be able to apply for a location there in a bidding process.

The good location in the southeastern Berlin area, the infrastructural connection to the autobahn through the Schönefelder Kreuz, train station, and port of Königs Wusterhausen, and the future Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) are significant location factors that distinguish the Funkerberg Technology Park and complement the entrepreneur-friendly climate in the Schönefelder Kreuz regional growth core.

Companies interested in establishing a location can apply for one in the Funkerberg Technology Park in the first half of 2018 as part of an EU aid-compliant, unconditional bidding process.

The focus of the location strategy is to promote the joint growth of new and existing innovative companies and research institutions. In order to promote this development, the combination of qualitative jobs, innovation, and research is particularly desirable.

The seller created a draft parceling based on the Funkerberg/Northwest construction plan, which was completed in 2015; the entire area of the construction section is approx. 107,000 square meters. Development measures, such as civil engineering, are set to be carried out by the city of Königs Wusterhausen starting in the second quarter of 2018 and will receive significant support from the Investitionsbank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB).

The sale of the greenfield site will take place after the bidding process has been carried out by Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of Entwicklungs- und Betreibungsgesellschaft mbH Königs Wusterhausen (EBEG). These schedules allow the start of construction activities on the part of potential locations starting in the fourth quarter of 2018.
