Building permit granted for new BRAIN BOX BERLIN landmark office building in Adlershof

On May 2, 2018, the building permit was granted for the BRAIN BOX BERLIN office building in Adlershof, Germany's largest science and technology park, so that construction of the property can begin in June 2018. By 2020, the construction site on the Eisenhutweg in the southeast of the capital will have a modern office complex with 24,000 square meters of floor space and - thanks to an eight-story tower - an unmistakable landmark building will result, which at the same time will form a new entrance to the metropolis.

BRAIN BOX BERLIN offers a new home to traditional office users, large companies, as well as researchers, developers, startups, and innovative producers in the tight Berlin office market. The range of uses is high due to the variability of the building concept. Office and commercial space with a flexible floor plan of approximately 200 to 24,000 square meters allows for the settlement of a wide range of company sizes. With a ceiling height of four meters on the ground floor, the spaces can be used for manufacturing industries – for example for the production of prototypes. Equally conceivable are uses as a laboratory or for services including bakeries and cafés, shops, or fitness centers. Five building cores ensure the spatial conditions – classic cubicle offices, co-working, open-plan spaces, or a mix – for all modern working environments.

When completed in 2020, BRAIN BOX BERLIN will be located in a functioning, lively residential and commercial district – surrounded by around 1,000 new apartments, schools, day-care centers, and local amenities. Located directly on the federal autobahn A113, the U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains as well as the tram are within a few minutes’ walking distance and connect BRAIN BOX BERLIN optimally to the city and the BER airport.

Beneath the campus there are 230 underground parking spaces and charging stations for e-mobility. As part of a car sharing offer, tenants may rent electric cars as well as bicycles, and a shuttle service will also be offered. The modern infrastructure includes a freely-accessible Wi-Fi hotspot on the premises, a state-of-the-art locking concept, and video surveillance for comprehensive security.
