CO2 neutral living in Königs Wusterhausen

The Königspark is a new district in Königs Wusterhausen directly in the southern periphery of Berlin. The SolWo Königspark GmbH project association has planned a CO2-neutral district here consisting of 288 apartments and a day care center.

The aim of the project: Living space at affordable prices thanks to green lease contracts — without additional costs for heat and electricity. All buildings are built in an ecological and energy-optimized fashion. The combination of energy-efficient buildings and electro mobility creates more energy than is consumed at the location. Photovoltaic installations on the roofs use electric vehicles as mobile power storage units. Construction of the Königspark is slated to begin in spring 2017, and completion is expected by the end of 2018.
