Alcaro Invest broke ground on Log Plaza Brandenburg 2, its seventh project at GVZ Großbeeren, on July 19, 2017. Großbeeren mayor Carl Ahlgrimm and about 50 other guests were in attendance for the ceremony. In the first phase of the project, a 20,000 m² (215,000 sq. ft.) modern logistics center will be built on the 75,000 m² (18.5 acre) site. Phase two will see an additional 15,000 m² (161,000 sq. ft.) of warehouse space added. The project is expected to be complete by Q1 2018. Alcaro Invest has thus created homes for almost a dozen companies with more than 2,500 employees in such future-oriented sectors as pharmaceuticals, e-commerce and logistics.
