Sales start for next phase of Bonava condos in Schönefeld
Project developer Bonava is starting construction of the next phase of its "Wohnen am Park" development in Berlin-Schönefeld. Starting next year, 11 apartment buildings with a total of 140 condominiums will be built on a 15,000 m² (3.7 acre) site on Bertolt-Brecht-Allee at Alfred-Döblin-Allee.
"Although we will soon have completed more than 500 apartments and houses, demand continues. In fact, Schönefeld is becoming even more popular. That's why we have designed floor plans for a wide variety of target groups: from singles to families, everyone will find something suitable here," explains Bonava project manager Rainer Buckenauer.
The new section includes a total of 11 apartment buildings, each with three floors plus a mezzanine or penthouse level. Their sizes will range from junior 1-bedrooms with 44 m² (474 sq. ft.) to 4 bedrooms offering 135 m² (1,453 sq. ft.) of living space. Depending on the level, each apartment will also have a terrace with access to the garden, a balcony, or a generous rooftop terrace. Elevators will ensure that all levels are accessible. An underground garage will offer 125 parking spaces below the complex. Additional outdoor parking spaces will also be provided.
Bonava will build about 1,000 houses and apartments along Bertolt-Brecht-Allee in the coming years. 262 rental units are currently under construction and 144 apartments and 105 townhomes on Bayangol-Park have already been completed. The site of the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport, Schönefeld expects a some 20,000 new residents to move there in the coming years.
