SEGRO leases almost 9,700 m² to Deutsche Post DHL

SEGRO is building a regional last mile depot for letter and parcel delivery in SEGRO Airport Park Berlin for Deutsche Post DHL. Building permits have been granted and construction work has already started. The facility on the approximately 9,700 m² site will be handed over to the tenant in mid-2021.

"We have been working successfully with Deutsche Post DHL at various locations for many years, so we know its exact special requirements for the facility," says Christina Schultz, Associate Director, Development, Light Industrial for SEGRO.  Deutsche Post DHL is already leasing space from SEGRO in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Berlin.

Just recently, SEGRO announced a 33,000 m² expansion to the industrial park. Tenants are still being sought. The first 15,000 m² of the expansion are already under construction. These sites will be ready for occupancy from October 2021. The focus remains on expanding the site at SEGRO Airport Park Berlin in order to meet the strong demand.

SEGRO Airport Park Berlin is located in the immediate vicinity of the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport, directly on the B 96a, and offers optimal connections to the motorway network via the A 113 and A 117.
