SEGRO has leased the last free unit (1,050 m²) in the commercial part of its SEGRO Airport Park Berlin to Polfood GmbH, an importer and exporter of high-quality meat products within Europe and Asia. Polfood will mainly use the new location for order picking. The space is currently being adapted to the requirements of the new tenant including the installation of two refrigeration units and will be ready for occupancy in April 2021.

This means that the entire 121,500 m² at SEGRO Airport Park have been leased. The campus consists of more than 72,500 m² of large-scale logistics units together with 49,000 m² flexible small and medium-sized hall and office units. The 66 tenants from various industries include the Rieck Logistics Group, Nordkurier, Fleurop, Tesla, and Deutsche Post.

"Since the demand for our logistics and commercial space in the south of Berlin has been extremely high, the full occupancy is only a snapshot, because we are already expanding SEGRO Airport Park Berlin with a further two phases," says Christina Schultz, Associate Director, Development, Light Industrial for SEGRO. A regional last-mile depot for letter and parcel delivery will be built to suit for Deutsche Post DHL by mid-2021. In addition, another 33,000 m² will be built in expectation of further demand. The first 15,000 m² are already under construction. These sites will be ready for occupancy starting in October 2021. All sites will have DGNB Gold certification.

SEGRO Airport Park Berlin is located in the immediate vicinity of the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport, directly on the B 96a, and offers optimal connections to the motorway network via the A 113 and A 117.
