With Scoot to Singapore - New long-haul from Tegel
From the second half of 2018, Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will fly four times a week from Tegel to Singapore. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday they will travel non-stop and direct with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Southeast Asian island and city state. "This new long-haul connection to one of the most important financial centres in Asia is a great gain for us," says Prof.Dr. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. "Berlin has an excellent reputation in Singapore as an innovative European metropolis and centre of technology, research and business. In Singapore it is known that the global start-up and creative scene is gathered here."
Scoot is a low-cost carrier of the Singapore Airlines Group, which was founded in 2012. In 2017, Scoot merged with Tigerair Singapore and today flies to 61 destinations in 16 countries, including many in Asia and Australia. This provider of affordable mid and long-haul flights has been awarded on AirlineRankings.com every year since 2015 as the best low-cost airline for the Asia/Pacific region.
