On behalf of PW Real Estate Fund III, the project developer Pecan Development has concluded a long-term lease agreement with Grover Group GmbH for around 5,700 square meters for the FORUM office and commercial building in Berlin. The building is part of the IM WIRTSCHAFTSWUNDER office and commercial complex on Potsdamer Strasse. After the well-known companies Sony Music, KWS Saat and finally Takeda had already taken over their space in October 2021, all office space in the district has now been leased with this deal.
Grover is Europe’s leading tech subscription platform for consumer electronics based in Berlin. The company rents out electrical appliances and enables customers to pay simply and flexibly for the technology that they actually use – perfectly adapted to individual needs. Thanks to professional refurbishments, the devices can be assigned to multiple users over their entire life cycle, which makes it possible to use resources in an optimum way and to reduce electrical waste. Grover thereby plays a pioneering role in promoting the circular economy. The corporate headquarters of Grover will be located in the FORUM. The moving in of around 300 employees is planned for summer 2022.
In the approximately 30,000 square meter ensemble, 3,000 square meters of retail and catering space will also be created. The Edeka grocery store and the Rossmann drugstore were able to open in the FORUM on time for the Christmas business in 2021. In the other areas, a café is planned, among other things.
