FAY Projects leases additional space at FLEXGATE

Swissport Berlin GmbH and the heating and air-conditioning company estonteco have signed leases at FLEXGATE for 734 and 1,194 square meters respectively. “With the conclusion of these contracts FAY Projects has leased 63 percent of the office space in the new construction project at BER airport,” says Manuel Oltersdorf, Senior Project Manager at FAY Projects. In general, the rentals at and around the BER airport are picking up again. “As a result, we expect to be able to sign additional leases by the end of the year.”

FLEXGATE is located five minutes away from the airport’s main terminal and has a total leasable area of nearly 14,300 square meters. It was conceived as a six-story multi-tenant building for small and large tenants and is very well connected to the BER transport infrastructure. There are connections both by train to Berlin’s city center (30 minutes) as well as via the autobahn and long-distance rail networks.

Current tenants include COLLECTION Business Center, the DKW Group, the GOLDBECK construction group, Goldstein Rechtsanwälte (Attorneys-at-Law), WISAG Aviation Training and Development GmbH & Co. KG and Berliner Jungens Development GmbH. “Airport-related service providers are also represented at FLEXGATE, as are real estate and office services as well as public administration and an occupational health center,” reports Clemens Rapp, Managing Director of FAY Projects. FLEXGATE thus has an attractive and resilient tenant mix.

FLEXGATE is the second office project to be realized by FAY Projects at the new Berlin airport after the ²BAC completed in 2012. A third project is currently under review and is very well conceivable in the future.
