In Schönefeld, the urban development gap between a world metropolis and an international airport is being closed. This is a process that will change the region and that we want to help shape quality-assured with the SCHÖNEFELD TOWER. The 110-meter-high landmark aims to embody Schönefeld as an urban airport city and symbolize the historic merging of two German states into a vibrant metropolitan region Berlin Brandenburg. A landmark that stands for the identity of the region as one entity and thus for its future. At a location predestined for this purpose, directly on the state border of Berlin and Brandenburg, at the geographical gateway to the Airport Region, on the main traffic axis (A113) between the city of Berlin, the airport, and the state of Brandenburg.
The Airport Region has countless advantages for us. Backed by the vibrant city of Berlin as well as regional and international transport connections, the world is literally right around the corner. It is the link between the urban and rural areas of the metropolitan region with its very high quality of life. It is the regional development cluster in which urban, demographic, and economic growth are consistently promoted and implemented at both municipal and private sector levels. It thus offers very appealing opportunities to participate in one of the largest regional development projects of our time.
The proximity to the airport is of great importance. Whether London, Moscow, or Madrid, all these locations are maximum three hours away by plane. At the same time, you are only 35 minutes away from Alexanderplatz or the Scharmützelsee in Brandenburg. The airport and its surrounding developments require around 80,000 skilled workers by the companies based in the region. These people and businesses urgently need to be provided with urban, sustainable, and social living spaces. Spaces in which living, working, education, culture, social, and leisure activities are intelligently linked. These spaces are being created in the Schönefeld community, including the SCHÖNEFELD TOWER.
