Dear reader, Welcome to the year 2025 and Happy New Year from the Berlin Brandenburg Airport Region! What are our plans? As a team of two cross-border economic development agencies, we are committed to further expanding the economic strength of the Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg. By promoting innovation, advancing key projects and strengthening partnerships, we aim to create new opportunities and further develop the region as an attractive business location. New Long-Haul Connection to Canada Starting in summer 2025, BER will have a new long-haul connection to North America. From June 20, Air Transat will connect the capital region to Toronto twice a week. This new route not only offers direct flights but also attractive onward connections to other Canadian destinations, such as Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary. A significant step towards further internationalizing the capital region. Also in this newsletter: - High-Tech Hub at Behrens-Ufer: ASML Moves to Berlin
