ILA 2022 – Once again a successful event for the Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg

Around 550 exhibitors from 29 nations, 72,000 visitors, 360 speakers, and 60 aircraft of all sizes: these are the figures for this year's ILA Berlin. The capital region was once again turned into the center of the aviation industry, when Europe's largest international aerospace exhibition opened its doors from the 22nd to 26th of June this year.

As part of the joint booth of the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg, the Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg and its four co-exhibitors, FAY Flexgate, OFB Projektentwicklung, Alpine Finanz Bau and Taurecon Real Estate presented themselves to the numerous trade visitors. The four co-exhibiting project developers - all partners of the Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg brand alliance - used the trade fair to present their construction projects and commercial locations in the vicinity of BER Airport to companies interested in moving their business interests to this area.

The Airport Region, in keeping with a long-standing tradition, once again held its meeting of project developers and municipalities as part of the fair on June the 23rd, 2022. This was a welcome opportunity to meet in person with the Airport Region's key real estate players and municipalities to discuss regional developments.

The well-attended event was opened by Hendrik Fischer, State Secretary in the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy of the State of Brandenburg.
Dr. Kai Uwe Bindseil (Berlin Partner for Business and Technology) and Dr. Steffen Kammradt (Economic Development Agency Brandenburg) then spoke about the Airport Region’s growth potential. Christoph Hansel (Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH) followed with a look behind the scenes of the development of the airport and provided insights into the plans for the Airport City quarter. Finally, the subsequent get-together enabled the participants to engage in a thorough exchange.

We would like to thank all stakeholders and guests for making our event and the ILA 2022 a success.
