Successful investor conference in Seoul

Germany Trade and Invest, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology (BPWT) and Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB), in cooperation with AHK Korea (KGCCI), held an investor conference during the Smart Factory + Automation World trade fair in Seoul on April 7, 2022.

56 delegates from 44 different Korean enterprises interested in Germany as a business location gathered at the Intercontinental Seoul COEX Hotel, to gain insights into business and market opportunities in Germany‘s capital region Berlin Brandenburg.

The participants were informed on the degree of automation and the employment of robots in German industry, as well as the resulting cross-industry parallels and synergy effects. In addition, the speakers highlighted prospective developing industries tied to Industry 4.0. The benefits and services offered by the Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg, as well as the legal and economic framework conditions for businesses interested in locating in the region, were also outlined. A report on the experiences of a Korean corporation with a presence in Brandenburg completed the session.

Following the programm, the speakers were available for questions and conversations.

The conference was also used to discuss the feasibility of direct flights between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Incheon International Airport (ICN).
