The Berlin-based investor and transaction specialist JUNIQO Invest GmbH is starting out in the field of new construction projects by purchasing its first site. Together with a partner, a new building plot covering over 6,600 m² was purchased in the town of Wildau with the aim of building 110 rented apartments.
The aim is to build four two to three-storey residential buildings with a gross floor area of almost 7,000 meters squared plus an underground garage with 114 parking spaces. The 110 rented apartments will provide a total living space of around 4,750 meters squared. The majority of them will be 1 to 2-bedroom apartments. The site is located on Fontaneallee. Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2023.
“For the first time in our short history as a company, we’re planning and developing a new construction project in multi-storey residential buildings. We’re therefore entering a new area of business alongside renovation and development of existing properties”, explains Nino Nowack, Managing Director and founder of JUNIQO Invest. “We found Wildau to be an attractive business and science location. As well as excellent infrastructure, the town also boasts very good transport connections in all directions. Our modern residential neighborhood provides demand-oriented, affordable housing in close proximity to Berlin”, Nowack continues to explain.
The rapidly growing town of Wildau is located around four kilometers south-east of the Berlin city limits and only 10 kilometers south of the city’s main airport, Berlin Brandenburg. The A10 and A113 highways provide excellent transport links. In addition, the Tesla Gigafactory is only around 16 kilometers away. The town is above all known for The Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, the historically protected residential area Schwartzkopff-Siedlung and the A10 Center shopping mall, which is one of the largest retail locations in the Berlin area.
JUNIQO Invest specializes in the management and structuring of real estate transactions. In addition to residential and commercial real estate, the focus for acquisitions is also on project developments with a budget of up to 50 million euros for the company's own portfolio. In terms of geography, JUNIQO Invest is concentrated in Berlin, Leipzig and other central locations in large and medium-sized cities in Germany.
