Berlin: MISSION AI moves to the Merantix AI Campus

In future, MISSION KI will pursue its project mission even closer to the pulse of the start-up scene. On May 1, the National Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Data Economy moved to the Merantix AI Campus in Berlin-Mitte, a hub for technology companies, investors, research and politics in the field of artificial intelligence. MISSION AI brings business and research together with numerous projects to strengthen Germany's digital competitiveness.

Dr. Peyman Khodabakhsh, Project Manager MISSION KI, explains: “MISSION KI works with key players from politics, regulation and the broader AI ecosystem. In line with our collaborative approach, we are excited to share our network and expertise with the community at the Merantix AI Campus.”

MISSION AI will also meet cooperation partners from a central project component at the Merantix site. The team is working with CertifAI and the TÜV AI Lab, both based at Merantix, as part of a joint project to develop and test AI quality and testing standards.

Merantix co-founder Dr. Rasmus Rothe explains: “The Merantix AI Campus is the central hub for the AI scene in Europe. Just like Mission AI, we are dedicated to expanding the AI ecosystem and strengthening relationships between all the key players in Germany. We have over 80 companies working in the field of AI here on campus, across all industries, such as healthcare, engineering or the environment, to network, share knowledge and work together to ensure AI is used to its full potential.”

With a team in Berlin and one in Munich, MISSION KI develops nationwide projects on data standardization and testing procedures as well as funding measures in the field of artificial intelligence. As part of MISSION KI, criteria and tools for testing AI applications are currently being developed as a minimum standard. Another ongoing project concerns the empowerment of SMEs in the use of AI.
