GSG Berlin leases around 1,700 square meters to Klang Games

GSG Berlin (Gewerbesiedlungs-Gesellschaft mbH), the largest provider of commercial and office space in Berlin, has leased around 1,700 square meters to the game development studio Klang Games GmbH. The lease in the new building project “Adil & Berta” on Adalbertstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg starts on June 1, 2023. Klang leases the entire available rental space in one of the two office buildings. 

“We have been Kreuzbergers since our founding and have outgrown our previous office space on Oranienstraße. It is great that we have found such a collaborative and creative new home in the immediate vicinity. With a perspective of 160 Klangers from currently over 24 countries, we feel right at home in this diverse, cultural and dynamic district,” says Isabelle Henriques, Co-CEO & COO of Klang Games.

“With Adil & Berta we are adding great office space to our historic GSG courtyards on Adalbertstraße. Before completion we were already able to fully lease one of the buildings to a company from Berlin’s creative scene. This confirms our approach as a project developer to close gaps and to densify commercial courtyards where possible. Quality prevails even in difficult market phases,” says Wolfgang Falk, the head of Project Development at GSG Berlin.

“Reconciling the interests and wishes of tenant and landlord is not always easy. Our leasing team has worked constructively with the new tenant to provide optimal turnkey space. I am very pleased about this,” adds Oliver Schlink, Managing Director at GSG Berlin.

The new five-story Adil & Berta buildings have 2,514 square meters of gross floor space in separate buildings and are scheduled for completion by spring 2023. Adil & Berta are located at Adalbertstraße 5 and 8 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, near Kottbusser Tor. The sustainability certificate BREEAM with “Excellent” is being sought for both units.
