PANDION buys a third plot for the OFFICEHOME Ostkreuz Campus

The Cologne-based project developer PANDION has purchased another plot of land for the third construction phase of the planned expansion of the OFFICEHOME Ostkreuz Campus. A six-story office building with a gross floor area of 13,000 sqm above ground will be built in cooperation with kadawittfeldarchitektur on the approx. 4,750 sqm site on Persiusstrasse in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin. The start of construction is planned for the second quarter of 2024.

"With the purchase of the third property, we are completing our campus idea in the middle of urban Berlin-Friedrichshain. Here, we will continue the high-quality architectural language from the other two buildings of the OFFICEHOME Ostkreuz Campus. In a prime location, we are creating the optimum environment for companies that value future-oriented and flexible office space for their employees," says Mathias Gross, head of the PANDION Berlin branch.

The centerpiece and connecting element of the three-part New Work Hub is a garden area with richly varied species of shrubs and trees, rainwater retention, and green lounge areas for working and relaxing. To ensure that campus employees can get to the office safely, quickly, and easily by bike, there is a separate access road into the buildings that can be used to bring the bikes to a secure storage area in the underground car park. In addition to parking spaces for cars and bicycles, there is also space for cargo bikes, charging stations, and battery cabinets for e-bikes. There are also private showers with separate clothing compartments. Rainwater retention and photovoltaic systems serve as a regenerative energy source on green roofs.
