Summer flight schedule with 148 destinations from BER

The summer flight schedule at Berlin Brandenburg Airport will take effect on Easter Sunday, 31 March 2024. Whether a beach or hiking holiday, city break or long-distance trip, whether Nordic climes or warm water regions in Eastern and Central Europe, this year’s summer flight schedule is packed with exciting travel destinations. 68 airlines will connect BER with 148 destinations in 49 countries up to 27 October. Holidays to Turkey, Spain, France and the UK are particularly popular in summer. Long-haul flights are taking off to New York, Beijing, Singapore, Doha and, from September, to the port city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Majorca, Antalya, and even city and business destinations, such as Amsterdam, Vienna and Zurich, are still among the top destinations from BER. 

Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Numerous airlines and notably the three major airlines Ryanair, Eurowings and easyJet are expanding their services from BER, flying to new destinations or increasing the number of flights. There will be more flights to North America and Asia. The increase in this year’s summer flight schedule is largely due to the expansion of existing flight connections. Therefore, travellers can travel more flexibly to the destinations of their choice. This increases the attractiveness and connectivity of the capital region.”

Those travelling to New York can choose from three airlines during the summer months. In addition to United Airlines, Norse Atlantic Airways will resume the connection on 1 May and will then fly to the Big Apple four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Delta Air Lines will follow with a daily connection starting on 10 May. Hainan Airlines is increasing its number of flights to Asia. The airline will be flying to Beijing five times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays), therefore reaching pre-pandemic levels. Directly after the summer holidays on 4 September, flynas will be starting operations at BER, offering a new long-haul destination, Jeddah, which will then be served three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays).

Ryanair: Summer flight schedule from BER with 6 new destinations and more seats

Ryanair is increasing its number of flights and will be flying to 54 destinations from BER this summer, including six new destinations. From 31 March, the Irish airline will be flying to Castellón in Spain (Wednesdays and Sundays) and Kaunas in Lithuania (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). Birmingham in England (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and Trieste in Italy (Tuesdays and Sundays) will be added to the flight schedule from 2 April. Dubrovnik in Croatia (Wednesdays and Sundays) will follow on 3 April. A new connection to the Calabria region will start on 28 April, with Ryanair flying to Reggio Calabria Airport (Thursdays and Sundays). The airline is also increasing frequencies on several routes, including Rome, Manchester, Chania and Tallinn. Ryanair is offering a total of 15 percent more seats this summer than in the 2023 summer schedule.

Eurowings: 7 new destinations from BER

Eurowings is continuing its growth strategy and is offering 40 destinations from BER in the summer flight schedule, including seven new destinations. From 31 March, the airline will be flying up to twice a day to Vienna in Austria and Zurich in Switzerland. A new connection to Yerevan in Armenia will be added on 3 May (Fridays, also on Saturdays from 13 July). From 4 May, there will be flights to Tivat in Montenegro (Thursdays and Saturdays). Eurowings will also be flying to North Africa and Turkey in July and August. Tunis in Tunisia will be served from 15 July (Mondays), Adana in Turkey from 16 July (Tuesdays) and Casablanca in Morocco from 21 July (Sundays). Eurowings is offering a total of eight percent more seats this summer than in the 2023 summer schedule. 

easyJet: More than 50 routes from BER in summer

easyJet is offering more than 50 routes from BER this summer, including five new connections. The airline will be flying to Turkey for the first time. Antalya (Tuesdays and Saturdays) has been on the flight schedule since 17 March. Flights to Izmir (Wednesdays and Saturdays) will begin on 3 April. Toulouse, a popular destination in the south of France, will be back on the schedule from 31 March (Thursdays and Sundays). The route to Birmingham in the UK (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) starts on 1 April. Salerno is an attractive Italian destination that will be served from 12 July (Mondays and Fridays) – just in time for the summer holidays. In combination with daily flights to/from Naples, this connection is also ideal for round trips in the Campania region. The summer destination Bordeaux in France will be offered again this summer. Frequencies to the metropolises of Paris, Rome and Zurich will increase significantly. easyJet is increasing its seat capacity by seven percent compared to the same period last year.

Further extensions and innovations from BER 

• Aegean Airlines is increasing the number of flights to Athens by two per week. There will be daily flights to the Greek capital up to 12 times a week starting on 22 April.
• From 9 May, Azerbaijan Airlines will also be adding one more flight (Thursdays) from BER to Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, taking the total to three times a week. 
• Croatia Airlines will be flying to Zagreb in Croatia from 21 May (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays). 
• From 2 April, Iberia Express will fly to Madrid up to four times a day and up to 25 times a week. That is an increase of four flights per week.
• LOT Polish Airlines will be flying to Warsaw up to three times a day from 3 July. A morning rotation will be added on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, meaning that even more connections can be made in Warsaw. 
• Scandinavian Airlines is significantly expanding its services from BER. The airline will double its services to Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two flights a day at the start of the summer schedule. The number of flights to Copenhagen will increase to up to 16 per week. Oslo will be served up to six times a week. The total number of seats will increase by over 80 percent compared to the 2023 summer schedule.
• Turkey once again features prominently in the SunExpress flight schedule this summer. From 22 June, the airline will be flying to Kayseri (Saturdays) and to Diyarbakir from 24 June (Mondays). SunExpress will be offering a total of up to 56 weekly flights to Turkey this summer.
• Wizz Air is expanding its services from BER. A daily connection to Rome will be offered from 31 March. Frequencies to Budapest and Tirana will also increase again. 
• Vueling will be flying 17 times a week and up to three times a day to Barcelona in Spain starting on 1 April. This is an increase of three flights per week
