BAUWERT AG sells residential buildings of the Neue Bockbrauerei to berlinovo

BAUWERT AG has sold a residential building from its project development ‘Die Neue Bockbrauerei‘ in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the state-owned berlinovo as part of a forward deal. The building offers approx. 3,460 sqm of space, including 25 subsidized apartments, 50 units for Berlin state employees, and a ground-floor commercial area. In November 2024, BAUWERT had already sold the striking 10,500 sqm office building within the same development to Berliner Bodenfonds GmbH. Completion of the residential and commercial spaces is planned for Q4 2026.

Award-winning urban quarter

‘Die Neue Bockbrauerei‘, spanning 13,000 sqm, is being developed into a forward-thinking urban quarter. In October 2024, BAUWERT received the European Special Prize of the Build Europe Awards for diversity and sustainability for this project. In 2023, it also won the inaugural B!WRD Project Development Award from the BFW as Germany's best project development.

Diverse uses and modern architecture

The berlinovo acquired spaces were designed by Bonanni Gesellschaft von Architekten mbH in collaboration with Tchoban Voss. In addition to subsidized housing and state employee apartments, this neighbourhood quarter will feature condominiums, office spaces, restaurants, green outdoor areas, and spaces for local businesses and artist studios.
