BAUWERT AG wins B!WRD Project Developer Award in the "Residential" category

With its NEUE BOCKBRAUEREI project in Berlin Kreuzberg, BAUWERT AG has won the B!WRD Project Developer Award, presented for the first time in Germany by the Federal Association of Independent Real Estate and Housing Companies (BFW), in the "Residential" category. The award was presented at the B!WRD Gala in Berlin, where the industry celebrated the best projects in the German real estate sector in 2023.

In his acceptance speech, Dr Jürgen Leibried, CEO of BAUWERT AG, emphasized: "This award is an honour and recognition for our company and for the commitment, passion and hard work of our employees. The Neue Bockbrauerei is an example of our commitment to sustainable and innovative, but also aesthetic urban development. My thanks also go to Siegfried Wik, Dipl.-Ing., architect and managing partner of Bonanni Gesellschaft von Architekten, for the award-winning residential building designs and Sergei Tchoban, architect and partner of Tchoban Voss Architekten, for the design of the modern office and commercial building of the Neue Bockbrauerei."

The Neue Bockbrauerei: Innovative urban quarter with a broad-based utilization concept

The B!WRD project developer award sets new standards for innovative and sustainable real estate projects and draws the attention of decision-makers from politics and the industry to the successful projects of small and medium-sized enterprises. The Neue Bockbrauerei, an urban quarter in the popular Bergmannskiez district in Berlin-Kreuzberg, impressed the jury with its broad-based utilization concept on a total usable area of around 32,000 m². Not only are 130 new condominiums being built here, but also urgently needed new rental apartments, micro-apartments and subsidized living space. The quarter will be rounded off by restaurants, a day nursery, space for local businesses and around 10,500 m2 of state-of-the-art office space.
