The DIE Deutsche Immobilien Entwicklungs AG (DIEAG) has transferred 100% of the shares in the BE-U | Behrens-Ufer district development in the southeastern part of Berlin to the investor, a professional pension fund based in Berlin, on schedule. This step marks the successful implementation of a strategically planned development process, which has always envisaged a full handover of the project to the investor. As part of the district development, DIEAG was able to create building rights in close coordination with the state and district administration based on an urban development agreement. After the complete activation and integration of the site into the regional science and business landscape and the settlement of the first anchor tenants, the investor acquired DIEAG's shares in the BE-U | Behrens-Ufer project.
Robert Sprajcar, CEO and Board Member of DIEAG, states: “DIEAG and the respective pension fund have successfully initiated projects together in the past. With today’s handover of BE-U | Behrens-Ufer, we are implementing an important milestone in line with our corporate strategy. We have led the district from the conceptual phase through the creation of building rights to successful activation – now is the perfect time for the transition. This emphasizes our service approach of sustainably transferring innovative development projects to the market.”
BE-U | Behrens-Ufer is one of the significant commercial developments in Berlin and will serve as an economic and creative hub for companies from various industries in the future. At the same time, DIEAG will continue to focus on the development of innovative and sustainable real estate projects.
