A joint venture of the KLINGSÖHR Unternehmensgruppe and DERECO has leased 1,100 square meters in the SHED project in Berlin-Neukölln to a fast-growing start-up in the renewable energy sector. "The lease of the clean-tech company confirms SHED's appeal to start-ups," says Stefan Klingsöhr, managing partner of the KLINGSÖHR Unternehmensgruppe. The company will occupy space on the first floor, second floor and second floor of the LOFT building, the first of four buildings in the SHED project. The lease was brokered by Angermann.
The SHED project features the latest energy standards. "During project development, we placed great emphasis on creating a sustainable commercial quarter. Among other things, the project is LEED Gold pre-certified, has a large photovoltaic system that ensures the basic electricity supply, is connected to the district heating network and thus has an excellent CO2 footprint. The SHED also has a large number of bicycle parking spaces and e-charging stations for cars," adds Klingsöhr.
David Noll, member of the management board of DERECO Holding GmbH, adds: "With SHED, we are realizing one of Berlin's largest office construction projects in one of the capital's most exciting locations. Neukölln has developed rapidly in recent years and has become an innovation hub that is attracting more and more young talent. The attractiveness of the project combined with the perfect transport links is also reflected in the increased demand for the properties' high-quality office and restaurant space."
The SHED building ensemble, located directly on the S-Bahn ring, will offer around 35,000 square meters for offices - especially for start-ups and gastronomy - on a site area of more than 15,500 square meters. SHED is located directly on the Schifffahrtskanal in Neukölln in the NEUE UFER business park. The gastronomic offerings in the project itself as well as in the surrounding area ensure an attractive neighborhood environment. The investment volume is around 200 million euros. The project is being financed by Berliner Sparkasse. The developer is a joint venture of the KLINGSÖHR Group and DERECO.
