Construction work started for the office building “SIL/BER workspace” in Berlin-Neukölln

In the form of special civil engineering, the start of construction for the new office building “SIL/BER workspace” in Berlin-Neukölln has taken place. The demolition of an existing building on the site was carried out in parallel. At Silbersteinstraße 16, the project developer and builder PROJECT Immobilien is constructing a total of 2,342 square metres of office space as well as a gastronomy unit with an area of 144 square metres. The new offices are expected to be ready for occupancy from the first quarter of 2024.

After the special civil engineering work, which mainly serves to secure the excavation pit, the earthworks will start shortly. This will be followed by the shell construction. Certification in accordance with the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is being sought for the entire sustainable building.

The new office building consists of four full floors and a staggered floor with a spacious roof terrace. The interior, which can be flexibly designed as individual, group or open-plan offices, is equipped with many floor-to-ceiling windows, including sun protection. It can also be realised as an open space office with creative areas, meeting and telephone boxes and an open kitchenette. Outside, there are bicycle boxes, individual car parking spaces and a landscaped inner courtyard.

In the area around the transport hubs S-Bahn Neukölln and S-Bahn station Hermannstraße, “SIL/BER workspace” is located in the trendy district of Neukölln, which is popular with innovative small businesses and start-ups. Good transport links are provided not only by the S-Bahn connection, but also by the A100 motorway, which can be reached in four minutes. The main railway station and Berlin city centre are around half an hour away, and the capital's airport BER is 15 minutes away.
