Berlin-based DLE Land Development GmbH is developing the 56-hectare site known as "Königspark" in Königs Wusterhausen (Brandenburg) into a modern, mixed-use neighborhood with a central 100,000 square meter green space with park character. To provide information on the current status of project development and planning, DLE is now publishing a website created specifically for "Königspark".
On the website, residents and citizens as well as companies and institutions interested in settling here can find out everything they need to know about the project development in the "Königspark". With the help of an interactive graphic, it is possible to find out about the planned functions in the future quarter and to locate them on the site. In addition, the six guiding ideas for the Königspark are presented, which include the principle of the 15-minute quarter and the sponge city. At the same time, the DLE calls on residents and future users of theKönig spark to contribute to the planning process with suggestions on the Königspark website. A corresponding participation tool has been integrated into the website under the heading "Mitgestalten - Ihr Anliegen zum Königspark". The address for the Königspark website is www.koenigspark.de.
Agnes Petra Müller, Head of Conceptual Construction at DLE: "With the publication of the Königspark website, DLE has kept its promise to provide comprehensive information about the planning and to give interested citizens the opportunity to participate and interact. The website succeeds in clearly conveying the concept and the most important key points of our veryu complex planning for the Königspark. In developing the website, we paid particular attention to ensuring that the points that are so important for a growing city, such as housing for all, the mobility concept and community needs, are clearly illustrated."
The "Königspark" site developed by DLE is located in the north of the town of Königs Wusterhausen on the A 10 federal freeway and not far from BER airport, the city center of the federal capital Berlin and the Tesla plant in Grünheide. The site, which was designated as a commercial area in 1993, currently lies largely fallow. Until the rededication of the "Königspark" into a mixed area, the DLE is again offering parts of the site for temporary use to associations and institutions - an offer that was also met with a lively response last year in 2022. "The Königspark offers great potential for interim use. Especially in summer, it is ideally suited for open-air events due to its ideal location in terms of transport, which we also experienced in the great popularity last year. This year, we are again inviting associations and institutions from the region as well as private individuals to contact us with an interim use concept. Together we can then realize the implementation," explains Ms. Müller.
