With the opening of NUUUORK, the Capital city airport is enriched by a co-working space with a modern interview studio, conference room, DJ sets and direct link to the Berlin scene. NUUUORK offers passengers a space for modern working and meeting, flexible communication and quality time at BER.
As a casual and thoughtfully designed oasis of calm, the co-working lounge offers comfortable seating, rotating work and telephone bunks. A modern multimedia meeting room provides the technology and privacy for video calls, conferences and podcast recordings. Journalists and podcasters can find everything they need to interview celebrities or politicians directly at the airport and to stream them live as part of their own formats. Companies can use the conference room for meetings and talks. Regular after-work events with DJ sets, art exhibitions and events complete the offer.
"As a BER restaurateur from the very beginning, I have taken a risk with NUUUORK, for which there are no empirical values due to its novel concept. We are convinced to hit the nerve of the time with our concept of work-flight balance" says Detlef Bernhardt, founder and CEO. "Greater Berlin, with its many start-ups, lively club scene and international appeal, is the perfect place for NUUORK."
"Welcome, NUUUORK. We are delighted to have the space to work as well as for personal and virtual meetings at BER. The creative concept stands for diversity and enriches the offerings at the capital city airport with its unconventional approach. The 'NU' brand is already represented at BER with a restaurant and a café. I wish the team and its concept for co-working at the airport continued success," says Aletta von Massenbach, Chairwoman of the Management Board, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.
The NUUUORK is located in Arrivals Area 1 in Terminal 1 on Level E0 and is accessible to members and walk-in guests at all times. The NUUUORK services can be booked via the NUUUORK app. The co-working space costs €12/hour, the multimedia conference room can be booked from €60/hour.
The operator of the NUUORK is Detlef Bernhardt, who owns several gastronomic outlets at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, such as the NU Restaurant and NU Café Casa as well as the Nordic Bar. The concept and project manager is his business partner Andreas Schmidt.
