Topping-out ceremony for the sustainable “Westgate” parking garage at BER celebrated

On September 25, the topping-out ceremony for the innovative “Westgate” parking garage was celebrated in the “Feelds” business park near Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). A special fund managed by AIF Management GmbH as asset manager is investing in the project and marked this important milestone together with project developer Minerva Immobilien and the future operator, Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH.

Focus on sustainability

The modern parking facility will offer 668 parking spaces, including 14 charging stations for electric vehicles – with the option for expansion. Its energy-efficient modular construction, open architecture for natural ventilation, and measures such as amphibian protection and sustainable drainage systems emphasize its focus on ecological responsibility.

Denisa Bonanno, Head of Investment at AIF Management GmbH, stated during the ceremony: “We are pleased to be fully on schedule with the project. Westgate exemplifies our strategy of investing in sustainable, future-oriented mobility infrastructure.”

Excellent connectivity and diverse use

Completion of the building is planned for the first quarter of 2026. Located in the “Feelds” business park, just 1.9 km from the terminal, the parking garage offers ideal conditions for a wide range of uses. A shuttle service will connect it to the BER terminal as well as to the nearby sister facility “Northgate.”
