Wizz Air launches direct flights from BER to Bratislava

Wizz Air is launching a new route that connects the capital region with Bratislava. The airline operates flights to the Slovakian capital four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays — using modern Airbus A321neo aircraft. The flight time is one hour and fifteen minutes. This new route takes travellers directly to this attractive Eastern European metropolis, while also providing a link to the Slovakia–Austria–Hungary border triangle. 

In summer 2026, Wizz Air will significantly expand its services at BER with new destinations and additional frequencies. The Hungarian airline will launch new routes to Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to Cluj-Napoca and Timișoara in Romania. It will also continue its successful service to Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and increase frequencies on existing routes. In total, Wizz Air will fly to twelve destinations from BER in the summer schedule. Compared to the previous year’s summer schedule, Wizz Air’s total seat capacity will thus increase by 90 per cent.

New routes and increased frequencies: the details of the changes

New destinations in the 2026 summer schedule:

• Bratislava (Slovakia): from 16 March 2026, four times a week
• Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina): from 30 March 2026, three times a week
• Cluj-Napoca (Romania): from 31 March 2026, three times a week
• Timișoara (Romania): from 21 May 2026, twice a week
• Bucharest (Romania): continuing from the winter timetable, once daily

Increased frequencies and more seats

The existing routes to Belgrade, Chișinău, Tirana and Varna will also be expanded in summer 2026.

• Belgrade (Serbia), plus 1 frequency to 5 times per week
• Chișinău (Republic of Moldova), gradual expansion by 4 frequencies to 7 times per week
• Tirana (Albania), plus 2-3 frequencies to up to 10 times per week
• Varna (Bulgaria), expansion of services through increased seating capacity
