The main advantage is the good connection to many European and German cities. This makes the airport particularly interesting for companies that operate at several locations. In addition, there is still development space available here at prices that allow comparatively low rents and a generous supply of space.
The southeast of Berlin and the neighboring municipalities are currently characterized by high growth dynamics. We would be happy if the current development continues and structural challenges can be mastered and the infrastructure can be developed according to the requirements. If this is achieved, large international companies will also increasingly settle in the region. Then Tesla and the airport are just the beginning of a long-lasting boom.
With each additional completion of another building and additional uses, the location becomes more attractive. It is to be expected that in the foreseeable future BER will become a location with a high profile beyond the Airport City.
We see many opportunities here for various business approaches and industries, whether global companies, medium-sized companies or start-ups. It is the mix that counts and the location is enhanced even more thanks to an interesting mix of sectors.
We would like to thank Manuel Oltersdorf for the interview!
