Interview with the Managing Directors of Unique Invest GmbH & Co. KG, Jasmin Samiri and Peter Kolb.

What are your company's plans for Airport Region Berlin Brandenburg?

As a real estate developer based in the Rhine-Main region and in Schönefeld, we have been present in the Airport Region for over 20 years. Our corporate planning for the region envisages further strengthening the Schönefeld location and making it more attractive. In particular, we have already reached an important milestone with our Gatelands Businesspark Kienberg neighbourhood development. 

The location has developed tremendously in recent years, and in the last 2-3 years in particular, the Gatelands district has been enlivened by the mix of office, hotel, car park, restaurant and serviced apartments in the wake of the airport opening and the completed project developments. 

We continue to see great potential for further expanding the Schönefeld location and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

 

What advantages does the Airport Region offer your company and your project?

The Airport Region is the ideal location for the business park. The excellent transport links play a central role here. The airport right on our doorstep not only offers access to the world's metropolises, but also connects the Airport Region with the regional transport network, including direct access to long-distance transport. At the same time, the location benefits from direct motorway access in all directions. This optimal network is of great importance for our office tenants and for the guests of the aparthotel alike.

Furthermore, the Airport Region is in a phase of dynamic growth with an incredibly high potential. Last but not least, the location offers an advantageous price situation compared to city-centre rents.

 

Which companies/industries do you think would benefit most from locating in the Airport Region and why?

Service providers and technology-oriented companies, in particular, will benefit greatly from settling in the Airport Region. For companies that depend on fast and flexible international connections, the close proximity to the airport plays a decisive role. 

In addition, we see great potential for companies from Brandenburg that will find the Airport Region an ideal place to expand. The location is also attractive for larger companies that want to establish their headquarters or a branch in Schönefeld. 

In our experience, the proximity to the capital city's airport, the comparatively low rents and the attractive trade tax rate make the Airport Region particularly appealing. Regional companies that already have several locations will also find ideal conditions here to benefit from the central location and easy accessibility.
