The Airport Region Team is a cooperation of the two business development agencies, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB) and is focused on economically strengthening the region around Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). With headquarters directly at BER Airport, we are the first point of contact for companies interested in opening new branches or offices in the region.

DIEAG wins world market leader as anchor tenant for Behrens-Ufer
As the first new tenant in Schöneweide, an internationally active high-tech production company in the electronics industry, is building a new production site on more than 10,000 square meters.
The tenant, who does not wish to be named at this time, will occupy production and laboratory space as well as office space in the listed Peter-Behrens Building. The lease is expected to start in early 2024. The building is located in the Nord-Karree of the BE-U | Behrens-Ufer commercial district currently being developed by the DIEAG Group between Ostendstraße and Spreeufer in Berlin-Oberschöneweide.
Felix Gold, Managing Director DIEAG Investmentmanagement GmbH: "We are pleased with this initial locating success. In addition to the availability of large connected areas at this early stage of the development of the district, the decisive factor was the possibility of being able to address the highly complex technical requirements of this highly specialized interested party in the individual tenant fit-out. The location also offers the advantage of a secure sustainable energy supply as well as the immediate proximity to HTW Berlin, with its distinctive technological training and research focus and the associated possibility of effective personnel recruitment."
A total of 235,000 square meters of rental space for commercial businesses is being created in historic and new buildings on the approximately ten-hectare former industrial site of BE-U | Behrens-Ufer which is divided into three construction phases. Completion is planned for 2027.
