KLINGSÖHR and DERECO celebrate the topping-out ceremony for the “HOHE NEUN” project

On May 13, 2022, KLINGSÖHR Unternehmensgruppe celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the “HOHE NEUN” project with around 150 guests in the presence of the District Mayor of Neukölln, Martin Hikel. With the timely completion of the shell construction, another milestone of the project has been reached.

The “HOHE NEUN” high-rise building has 11,000 square meters of floor space, spread over twelve storeys. The brick building features an average room height of 3.5 meters, barrier-free access throughout the building, the latest in building component activation, which enables individually adjustable heating and cooling, and a high-speed fiber-optic connection.

“We are pleased with the progress of construction on our 'HOHE NEUN' project. The development area 'NEUE UFER', which in addition to the current project also includes the 'SHED' and the 'ESTREL TOWER', will shape the cityscape of the future location Neukölln. During project development, we paid considerable attention to the energy balance of the building. The topic of New Work also played a decisive role in the development. Large windowed and terrace areas provide a bright and appealing atmosphere as well as a unique view of the Berlin skyline,” explains Stefan Klingsöhr, Managing partner of the group of companies with the same name.

District Mayor Martin Hikel said at the topping-out ceremony: “I am pleased that the KLINGSÖHR group of companies is giving this location a new look together with DERECO. Together with the 'SHED' and the 'ESTREL TOWER', the new building will represent an important building block for the working and office location in the Südring industrial estate. I am looking forward to its completion, it will be another highlight in the already attractive location of Neukölln.”

A location with high quality, ideal connections and low rents

The project is located in the Südring industrial estate in Neukölln and offers optimum quality and the same technical standard as comparable buildings in Berlin-Mitte or Charlottenburg. The rents of 20 to 25 Euro per square meter are significantly cheaper than in the top locations.

“ESG compliance also includes the transport links of the area. The connection to public transport is characterized by a bus stop directly in front of the door and the walking distance to the Ringbahn station Sonnenallee and the S-Bahn station Köllnische Heide. Anyone driving a car can look forward to charging stations for electric vehicles and the upcoming extension of the A 100. With today’s topping-out ceremony, we are celebrating the starting signal for the development of the area at the interface between the city center and BER airport,” said Klingsöhr.
