The international BBQ, lobster and seafood concept BIG EASY comes to Berlin

The first BIG EASY restaurant in continental Europe is moving in at Potsdamer Platz! For this purpose, Brookfield Properties and BIG EASY are converting 1,840 square meters at Linkstrasse 2 and creating high-quality restaurant space over two floors. Homemade barbecue and seafood such as grilled lobster will be served there in the future. A wide range of draft and bottled beers will be accompanied by cocktails and live music. Additionally, one of the largest whiskey bars in Berlin is being created here. BIG EASY has signed a 15-year lease at Potsdamer Platz and plans to open in May 2023.

Paul Corrett, Founder and Chairman of BIG EASY, explains the expansion to Germany and the choice of location: “For some years now, we have regularly received requests to open more restaurants in other countries, and Germany was a priority for us. After an extensive market analysis, we decided that Brookfield Properties at Potsdamer Platz was our perfect partner for this. Potsdamer Platz is an exceptional place for people in Berlin to relax, have fun and enjoy a homemade barbecue, lobster and a wide selection of drinks in our restaurant. For us, it all started with the Gulf Coast lifestyle on the US and the desire to share that lifestyle and good food with others.” The BIG EASY restaurant should be a place that welcomes everyone.

The restaurant company has been our tenant in London’s Canary Wharf neighborhood since 2016 and we are delighted to be able to build on our existing partnership with the new location at Potsdamer Platz. As at its other locations, BIG EASY will also offer brunch at Potsdamer Platz on weekends, business lunch (“Hit and Run Lunch”) during the week and daily specials as well as happy hours for the bar public.
