Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) has published its 2025 Annual Report. The company once again achieved a positive operating result in the past fiscal year. EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were 203.9 million euros last year. Compared to the previous year, the company was able to reduce the consolidated net loss by 48.3 million euros to 86.1 million euros, exceeding its targets.
In total, 26.1 million passengers travelled through BER last year, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to 2024. More than 193,000 aircraft took off and landed at BER, an increase of 0.7 percent compared to 2024. Revenues increased to 666.5 million euros, compared to 645.7 million euros in 2024.
| In million euros | Plan 2025 | Actual 2025 | Actual 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales revenues | 654.5 | 666.5 | 645.7 |
| EBITDA before erratic items (EBIT without depreciation and erratic items) | 186.1 | 203.9 | 152.3 |
| Consolidated net loss for the year | -93.0 | -86.1 | -134.4 |
In November 2025, FBB successfully completed a comprehensive refinancing package for its loan obligations totalling 1.2 billion euros on the capital market. Furthermore, in February 2026, the final capital injection of 500 million euros, as per agreement with the shareholders, was made to repay existing loans from the construction period. The amount of up to 660 million euros originally pledged by the shareholders did not need to be fully utilised. The Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH is, therefore, financially independent and no longer reliant on guarantees from its shareholders.
“This financial independence is the result of the consistent implementation of the partial debt reduction plan agreed with the shareholders in 2021,” explains Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. “We shall continue on this path despite very challenging external influences on the aviation industry.”
