Three new tenants with 4,700 square meters for SEGRO Airport Park Berlin

Even during the construction phase, SEGRO was able to lease 4,700 square meters to three companies. Schweng GmbH is renting 1,800 square meters starting in March 2022. The company specializes in the sale, installation, and manufacture of roofing. This expands the existing tenant, which has been renting 700 square meters on the site since April 2020. In addition, the medium-sized company Kuntze & Burgheim Textilpflege GmbH will move into 900 square meters in the business park starting in February 2022. The tenant offers a rental service for workwear in Magdeburg, Hannover, and Berlin. The third new tenant is Fensterblick GmbH & Co. KG, which will also rent just under 2,000 square meters starting in February 2022. The tenant offers custom windows, doors, and shutters through its website fensterblick.de.

“These leases, several months before the space is ready, illustrate the strong demand for modern commercial space in Greater Berlin. Despite the pandemic, we are seeing tremendous demand for our flexible halls across a wide range of industries,” says Christina Schultz, Associate Director Development at SEGRO.

All three rental spaces are part of a current expansion of the site by an additional 15,000 square feet. Thus, five of the six units in one building have already been leased. At the moment, nearly 10,000 square meters are still available. After completion of the ongoing construction work, the commercial section of SEGRO Airport Park Berlin will cover a total of approximately 82,000 square meters. In addition, SEGRO Airport Park Berlin has a logistics section whose 72,500 square meters of rental space have been fully leased for some time. Accordingly, the total area of SEGRO Airport Park Berlin will be 154,500 square meters after the current expansion. All areas have DGNB Gold certification.

On the one hand, small-scale light industrial units with a ceiling height of 6.5 meters are being built, while on the other hand, medium-sized urban logistics units are coming into focus. This new type of building is specifically designed for urban logistics and has a ceiling height of 10 meters and multiple loading bays per unit.

SEGRO Airport Park Berlin is located directly on the B 96a in the immediate vicinity of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport and offers optimal access to the autobahn network via the A 113 and A 117.
