InCity lays cornerstone for office building in the Lilienthal Business City at BER Airport

InCity Immobilien AG (“InCity AG”) has laid the cornerstone for the “Delta” office building in the Lilienthal Business City at the new Capital Airport Berlin-Brandenburg (BER). In the future, the prestigious new building with a gross floor area of around 12,000 square meters will form the entrance to the Business City, located just four kilometers from BER. The start of construction is also the prelude to the continued development of the Lilienthal Business City. Plans call for expansion in several construction phases, the establishment of offices and hotels, and the modernization of existing buildings.

Michael Freund, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of InCity Immobilien AG, comments: “We have been acting as asset manager of the Lilienthal Business City at BER since 2016. Together with the owner Aereo Gate Properties S.A., we are convinced of the tremendous future potential of this location, which is of interest to many tenant target groups, and intend to further develop the Business City through our own project development activities.”

The initial construction work on the new “Delta” building project already began in July 2021. The new office building under construction received gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.). The design by STP Architekten Berlin features a striking form, an elegant facade, and flexible space design. The floor plan has the shape of a triangle with rounded corners.

“A total of around 10,000 square meters of flexible-use office space will be available to future tenants, following the anticipated completion at the end of 2023. These can be divided into rental units starting at around 350 square meters and enable the implementation of modern workspace concepts,” says Clemens Becker, Managing Director of IC Baumanagement GmbH, a subsidiary of InCity AG, which is largely responsible for the individual construction activities on site on the part of the InCity Group.

The location at the corner of Grünauer Strasse and Lilienthalstrasse in the Schönefeld district of Waltersdorf has a direct autobahn connection (A113/A117). The BER terminal can be reached in less than ten minutes by car and in about 15 minutes by bus.
