The KLINGSÖHR Group of Companies and DERECO have leased 1,600 square meters to DATAGROUP in the SHED project in Berlin's Neukölln district. DATAGROUP is a full-service provider and one of the leading German IT service companies. Around 3,500 employees at locations throughout Germany design, implement and operate both IT infrastructures and business applications and support their customers in the secure use of digitization in hybrid cloud environments.
"DATAGROUP's lease confirms the attractiveness of SHED for IT companies. In the SHED project, the company will find excellent, modern and flexible space equipped with the best high-speed fiber optic Internet connection," says Stefan Klingsöhr, managing partner of the KLINGSÖHR Group of Companies. "With its co-working operator partner, NEW WORK STATION, the tenant brings an important building block to the conceptualization of SHED as a best practice property for NEW WORK office space."
DATAGROUP will lease the space on the third floor of SHED's main building. The transaction was brokered by Kasten-Mann Real Estate Advisors."Changing our location within Berlin was not an easy decision for us. However, the advantages of SHED convinced us. Thus, we want Neukölln to become our flagship location that attracts young talent as well as new customers," reports Jan Pries, Managing Director at DATAGROUP.

The SHED building ensemble will offer around 35,000 square meters of space for offices, start-ups and gastronomy on more than 15,500 square meters of land. SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Creditsafe Deutschland will also occupy space in the project. SHED is located directly on the Schifffahrtskanal in Neukölln in the NEUE UFER business park. The gastronomic offerings in the building ensemble itself and in the surrounding area ensure an attractive neighborhood environment. The investment volume is around 200 million euros. The project is being financed by Berliner Sparkasse. The developer is a joint venture of the KLINGSÖHR group of companies and DERECO.
