Radisson Collection Hotel: Reopening with Spectacular "Living Tree"

The luxury lifestyle brand of the Radisson Hotel Group is once again present in the German capital. Completely renewed, the Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin has reopened in the heart of the city, directly across from the Berlin Cathedral, featuring the new "Living Tree" lobby concept and a fresh culinary offering. The hotel had been closed for two years following the incident involving the AquaDom in December 2022.

A Green Highlight in the Lobby

Standing 24 meters high, up to 20 meters wide, and adorned with nearly 2,000 plants, the new vertical garden at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin is undoubtedly a striking feature. The main attraction of the newly reopened luxury lifestyle hotel is located in its nearly 1,000-square-meter lobby, offering guests in the inner-facing rooms a spectacular view. The natural greenery, which evolves as the plants grow, not only creates a unique guest experience but also contributes to a pleasant indoor climate through integrated irrigation. Additionally, it acts as a green air filter, efficiently absorbing reverberation and noise. A special highlight is the smart lighting system, which allows the Living Tree to change its appearance and set the mood according to the time of day and occasion.

Flexible Meeting Rooms with a Panoramic View

The hotel’s 15 modern meeting rooms have also been completely renovated, offering an upscale setting for events in Berlin-Mitte. With a flexible space of 2,740 square meters across three floors, including the impressive DomLounge under a glass roof with stunning views over Berlin, these rooms are ideal for conferences, meetings, and private celebrations.

The hotel’s restaurant is launching with a brand-new concept: San Éna, serving modern Greek cuisine. During the warmer months, the terrace along the Spree River is set to become a popular gathering spot. Additionally, the hotel's newly designed spafeatures an indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment in the 24/7 gym, offering guests a comprehensive wellness experience.

Elegance and Comfort in a Prime Location

The Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin boasts 427 stylish rooms and suites in various categories, including Collection Premium Rooms with views of Berlin Cathedral—some even featuring furnished balconies—spacious Junior Corner Suites, and the luxurious Nikolai Suite, which spans over 100 square meters.

Marco Eichhorn, General Manager of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin, shares his excitement about the reopening: "With great passion, we have created a truly unique hotel experience—fully in line with our motto: Welcome to the Exceptional. The impressive Living Tree in our lobby and the brand-new San Éna restaurant are just two of the highlights that make our hotel so special. A huge thank you goes to the owner of this exceptional property, Union Investment, with whom we have carried out this exciting project over the past two years with trust and dedication."

Martin Schaller, Head of Asset Management Intercontinental at Union Investment, adds: “We congratulate the Radisson Hotel Group on the opening of this outstanding location in Berlin and are delighted to have closely and collaboratively supported the exciting new lobby and gastronomy concept.”
