voco Hotel is coming to Berlin

NOVUM Hospitality , IHG Hotels & Resorts, and the Hilpert Group have signed a lease for a new hotel project in central Berlin: The hotel, part of the upscale brand voco Hotels by IHG, will have 440 rooms and be completed by the end of 2028. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2026. This exclusive hotel project is the eighth additional development project secured by NOVUM Hospitality and IHG since the conclusion of their long-term partnership in April 2024 – with a total of over 1,400 rooms. It is the first hotel that NOVUM Hospitality will operate under the renowned IHG brand voco Hotels.

New voco Hotel for Berlin

The new voco Berlin Alexanderplatz is planned for construction at Mollstraße 4 in Berlin-Mitte. Located in the immediate vicinity of Alexanderplatz and the city center, it will offer both business and leisure travelers optimal accommodation options in the capital. In keeping with the brand's hallmarks, the new Berlin voco will welcome its guests with relaxed comfort, stylish design, and modern, personalized service. The new building will feature a total of 440 guest rooms and a gross floor area of ​​14,650 m². Completion of the building is scheduled for the second half of 2028.  

Family-run project development

The project developer and owner of the hotel building under construction is the family-run Hilpert Group, based in Würzburg. Operating since 1987, the company is an experienced partner for real estate investments and project developments – and is delighted to further expand its strategic activities in the field of hotel project development in the capital with voco Berlin Alexanderplatz. NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts deepen partnership

The long-term cooperation partnership concluded between NOVUM Hospitality and IHG in April 2024 includes the Holiday Inn – the niu brand collaboration as well as the conversion of all other NOVUM brands into the IHG brands Garner and Candlewood Suites. The two hotel companies are intensifying their collaboration in the area of ​​business development: voco Berlin demonstrates how other IHG brands can be successfully integrated into the development – ​​depending on the location and concept. NOVUM Hospitality will continue to operate the hotel.

The new voco Hotel in Berlin is the first joint project between NOVUM Hospitality and IHG to be realized outside of the previously agreed brand worlds. Further joint developments are already in the planning stages.
