Bonava is planning its first residential project in Wildau, south of Berlin, and has secured an area of around 16,000 square meters in the Röthegrund I residential park for the project. More than 250 new apartments are to be built on the previously unused site at Finkenschlag from next year. A corresponding property purchase agreement was concluded this week with Pöttinger Wildau GmbH & Co. Dev. I KG. Buyers and sellers were advised by the PREA Group.
"Wildau is already a popular place to live thanks to its excellent transport links and it will become even more attractive in the coming years. We also want to contribute to this with our residential area and create a home for all age groups. Students should feel just as comfortable here as couples and families," says Bonava project manager Julian Dominitzki.
The preliminary construction concept includes an ensemble of eight apartment buildings with around 250 apartments. More than half of these are planned for rental. The other apartments are to be offered for sale.
“There are still many questions to be answered before the start of sales. What is clear, however, is that we will create a very green and energy-efficient neighborhood. We are now going into coordination with the city and hope to be able to start construction next year," reveals Julian Dominitzki.
For Bonava, the planned apartments in Wildau are just one of numerous construction projects in the region. The project developer with headquarters in Fürstenwalde in Brandenburg has been one of the most active project developers in the Berlin area for years. In Schönefeld alone, the German-Swedish company is currently building a residential area with around 1,000 apartments and houses. Other Bonava construction sites can also be found in Schulzendorf, Zossen and Bestensee.
