As cooperation partners, DLE and QUARTERBACK are developing the “Darwinbogen” in Königs Wusterhausen

DLE Deutsche Landentwicklung Holding AG (DLE) has been entrusted as a service provider with the development of the property known as Darwinbogen in Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin. A district with a mixture of residential and limited commercial use is to be created on four building plots on around 42,000 square meters to the south and along the street with the same name “Darwinbogen”. According to the current development plan, two building plots are intended for commercial use and two additional building plots for residential use. For the implementation, DLE is now entering into a cooperation with QUARTERBACK Immobilien AG as the construction partner. QUARTERBACK will take over the construction of the future district from work phase 4.

“We see the successful progress of our project development at Darwinbogen in Königs Wusterhausen. At the transition to work phase 4, we are now working closely with Quarterback, who have previously supported us successfully as a construction partner in other projects,” says Petra Müller, Co-Head of Development at DLE.

In addition to office space, the first of the four construction areas will also include a daycare center, which will offer space for around 120 children in six groups on approximately 1,400 square meters of gross floor area. The two-story building is also to be accessed with an external staircase. The outdoor area will be used by both the daycare center and the nursery and its dimensions exceed the minimum construction requirements. In addition to the daycare center, which will be maintained by a local operator, another public children’s playground will be built.

Elisabeth Keil, Project manager at QUARTERBACK Immobilien comments: “With the construction of the daycare center, we are taking into account the dynamic development of the city of Königs Wusterhausen and creating new capacities for education and care. The little guests of the daycare center can look forward to a very spacious outdoor area. At the same time, the daycare center strengthens the infrastructure of the future district at Darwinbogen”

The Darwinbogen area is fully developed and conveniently located near the B179 Federal road and the A10 Federal motorway in the north of the city of Königs Wusterhausen. The proximity to the metropolitan region of Berlin and the dynamic development in the south-eastern area of Berlin characterize the attractiveness of the location.
