The Airport Region Team is a cooperation of the two business development agencies, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB) and is focused on economically strengthening the region around Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). With headquarters directly at BER Airport, we are the first point of contact for companies interested in opening new branches or offices in the region.

Start of construction for the office project THE B in Revaler Strasse
The Berlin project developer Townscape and Gateway Real Estate have celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the THE B office project at Revaler Strasse 32 in Berlin Friedrichshain. A 6-story office building with around 22,000 m² (gross floor area) of modern and flexible office space is being built on the 5,100 m² site. The renowned architectural firm Eike Becker_Architekten is responsible for the planning. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
Henrik Sassenscheidt, Managing Partner of Townscape: “We are proud of the start of construction of our new project. With THE B we are creating a place with excellent conditions for modern working. Our new office building is located not far from Warschauer Strasse, Ostkreuz and Mediaspree. Future tenants will be working here in an established office location, nestled in a popular neighborhood & lively residential area. We are pleased that in the current market situation we were able to gain Berliner Sparkasse and a German insurance company as financing partners.”

It is being built in an attractive, high-growth urban district, is easily accessible and is supported by a well-coordinated project team with years of experience in the development of office buildings. THE B thus meets all the requirements for a successful construction project and offers excellent rental opportunities.”
THE B is very well connected to public transport and private transport. The Ostkreuz train station is only a five-minute walk away and opens up the area with its numerous bus, train and S-Bahn lines for local and long-distance traffic. The proximity of the property to the federal highways B 1 and B 96a facilitates the journey by car. Berlin-Brandenburg airport is a 30 minute drive from the property. The new building project is to achieve DGNB Gold certification and KfW 55. The ESG verification for the EU taxonomy is carried out by the DGNB.
