Commodus, a private equity investor with a focus on real estate, has signed a long-term lease with Deutsche Bahn for around 3,800 m² plus 80 parking spaces at Nahmitzer Damm 12 in Berlin-Marienfelde. The company was also able to conclude two new rental agreements for its property at Storkower Straße 132.
Leonhard Sachsenhauser, Managing Director at Commodus, commented: “We are pleased that, thanks to the extensive work of our integrated asset management team, we have been able to reposition the properties and again achieve significant leasing successes. The leases demonstrate the continuing attractiveness of the Berlin market and the need for sustainable spaces.”
Commodus acquired the building on Nahmitzer Damm in Berlin-Marienfelde in June 2019 and converted the 11,000 m² former home to IBM built in 1986 into an attractive office campus. Commodus has recently completed the redesign of the building’s lobby. The location in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district offers an attractive alternative to more central Berlin office locations due to its good connections to both private transport (via B101 and B96 highways) and the public transport network (S2 Buckower Chaussee and various bus lines).
